JK Jewelry Studio is located in Ronkonkoma, NY. All pieces are hand crafted with love and the highest quality materials using Bullseye fusible glass, Dichro Magic, and CBS dichroic glass. Some pieces include etched dichroic designs, creating patterns and depth in the pieces. Dichroic was initially created by NASA and used on their rockets. Dichroic glass reflects one color while transmitting another. The colors shift depending on the angle and may appear different in person as the camera can't capture the true beauty of these pieces. The glass jewelry is set in high quality sterling silver. I approach each one of them like making a painting and each glass piece is an original wearable work of art. These are great conversation starters, they look perfect with every outfit and make wonderful gifts. Order yours today. How It's Made
These are hand made in small batches. The glass pieces are cut, layered, and kiln fused between 1500 - 1600 degrees. A select few then go through a re-shaping process on a lapidary cutter polisher and re-firing, sometimes repeating the process multiple times until completion. They are hand drilled with a diamond bit and enclosed in a .925 sterling silver bail setting. Each creation takes a min of 3 days, to a couple of weeks to completion.
